Sarah Penhall

Sarah is a Principal at BYP Group. She has over 20 years experience working for arts organisations, government and not for profits in the UK and Australia. She has worked in research, fundraising and contractor roles for organisations including Arts Centre Melbourne, Malthouse Theatre, The Royal National Theatre, Arts Council England, Department of Premier and Cabinet Victoria and the Learning and Skills Council UK. Sarah has a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Public Policy and Management (Hons) completed on scholarship from the University of Melbourne.

Sarah has conducted dozens of in-house and independent evaluations using quantitative and qualitative research methods, statistical / data analysis, field research and literature reviews. She has a particular interest in the Victorian creative industries and working with organisations that promote participation in social life. She is also interested in building organisational capacity for evaluative thinking and practice.

Sarah has presented at conferences and seminars, including the Creative Victoria’s Expert Arts Program, the Fundraising Institute of Australia annual conference, the University of Melbourne Cultural Development Network, Deakin University Arts Participation Incubator and the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development  (Vic) Strategic Partnerships Network for the Arts.
